HOW TO STITCH A NORMAL CHUDITHAR BOTTOM
Hi friends...
Are you feeling confused on seeing the patterns for how to stitch a normal chudi bottom? Its quiet easy.
Here Iam going to explain how to measure, cut and stitch a chudi bottom. Come, let's learn the stitching basics.
Step 1: Taking Measurements
Hip round : 35'' (actual hip size= 33'', 2'' is added for making the hip of chudi bottom to be of free size)
Hip level : 8'' (default- 8'' for all human)
crotch length : 8" (default- 8'' for all human)
Angle Round : 14 and 1/2 ''
Full length : 40'' (measure from high hip to floor)
Step 2 : Drawing a pattern
Requirements:
1. pattern paper (substitute: news paper)
2. pencil, scale, rubber, inch tape
Note: Measurements are important factors in stitching. Make sure that the measurements taken are accurate
Now we have to cut two pieces in pattern paper,
1. Belt piece
2. Leg piece
Labels:
for leg piece :
a) 0 to 1 : full length - hip level = 32
ie, full length = 40
hip level = 8
so measurement of 0 to 1 = 40-8 = 32
b) 0 to 2 : (hip round / 4 ) +4 =13
i.e, hip round = 35
so measurement of 0 to 2 = (35/4)+4= 12.7 = 13(round off)
c) 2 to 3 : crotch length= 8
d) 3 to 3' : 1 1/2" (default)
e) Join 2 to 3" with curved line
f)1 to 4 : 1/2 angle round = 7.25
ie, angle round = 14 1/2
so measurement of 1 to 4= 14 1/2 /2 = 7.25
g) Join 3' and 4
Note : FOLD indicates that , that particular end of cloth is folded
Now, cut the patterns . we need 2 leg pieces and 2 belt pieces. Using this pattern we can cut the leg piece and belt piece in the cloth (material for stitching chudithar bottom )
